There are 16 types of standardized tests in use today. They are extremely common throughout the United States. These tests are used to measure student’s academic ability and teacher’s teaching skills. Students are taking a standardized test in all grade levels including kindergarten. There is much debate on whether these tests should be banned from schools or kept in place. Tests like these do not accurately portray a student’s intelligence. The tests are unfair, unreliable, and cause so much stress.
