In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakspeare, there are multiple percievable moments where Romeo has followed Andreas Capellanus’ Courtly Love rules with impulsiveness . These rules “define” the perception of love and how to correctly court a girl in Medieval times. In short, these rules are centered around establishing love, constancy, and the certain lengths you have to obtain or go to, to court the person you love. Many of these rules were followed unknowingly by Romeo, the main character in Romeo and Juliet, when he fell for Juliet. One of these rules indicates that when you love someone, you can't stop thinking about them. In this moment, we see how Romeo shows Juliet what lengths he would go to just to be near Juliet and how he followed his heart’s intuition.
