Venezuela and United States “To survive in peace and harmony, united and strong, we must have one people, one nation, one flag.’’ This quotation of Pauline Hanson defines how important values are, not just for one person or one community, but for a whole nation. On one hand, we have Venezuelan people, and on the other hand American people. Even though these two countries have similarities in the weather and food, there are three major differences between Venezuela and United States.
Prior to the conquistadores arriving the Andean people worshipped many different Gods, and had a variety of different religions. (Hyland,
Religion was a major part in both the Aztec and Inca society. Both practiced polytheism and had rituals that included sacrifice. In the Aztec community they built major pyramid shaped temples. The priests of the Aztec religion went to pray, worship, and make offerings to the gods in these temples.(2) The Aztec King was both a political and religious leader.
Many Americans are unaware of the flourishing religion that is Islam. In America, Muslims only make up about 1% of the population, however, a survey put the global muslim population at a shocking 1.6 billion, adding up to roughly 23% of the global population. Christianity reached a total of 2.2 billion followers, encompassing only 32% of the population, while Judaism fell far behind with only 14 million and a devastatingly low 0.04%. Originating in the seventh century in Mecca, the powerful religion has seen rapid growth over the years. Innovative ideas in economics, religion, and science made the religion unique from others in the past and allowed for this spread.
America and Guatemala are very different cultures; sometimes these cultures can be viewed in a poor light or it can be viewed in an interesting light, but I think these differences are very interesting and nice. One big difference that can be seen is that America loves upgrading technology and making technology to make life easier. In Guatemala, it is not like that. Guatemala does have some technology like smart phones and new types of cars, but if something is fine how it is, it is not upgraded and not much technology is made that would supposedly make their lives easier.
The Aztecs had beliefs similar to that of the other Mesoamerican people. The Aztecs were polytheists, so they had worshipped many gods. Their gods coincide with men, women, and animals. The Aztecs had very specific rules when worshipping their gods: The Aztecs had to meet in houses of worship that were shaped like pyramids. The Incan civilization combined social class with religion.
This diverse nation has so many types of religions in it, from it’s people. Socially we have relations to all of the countries, since the USA is a superpower. The colonies gave this country a solid
Despite differing in many ways, all the European nations that participated in the colonization of what is now known as America shared the similar goal of finding land to claim as their own and using it for their own unique intentions. The Spanish, for example, reaped the profits of South America, which included an extremely large amount of silver that temporarily boosted their economy. The English settlers came in different groups, whose intentions were widely unique to their situation. Two such groups, the capital-centered settlers of Virginia and the religious-based New Englanders, had very different goals, which caused their development into completely different societies over time, despite their shared English roots. One of the main
Religion in the Aztec Empire: The Aztecs had a polytheistic religion with the worship of a pantheon of all powerful gods. The religion they followed permeated into every aspect of their lives. Everyone from the lowest peasants and commoners to the most royal of emperors observed this religion very seriously. Priests presided over rituals and sacrifices, and were supposed to be celibate and refrain from alcohol. It had a large and ever increasing pantheon.

In the 16th Century, Spain became one of the European forces to reckon with. To expand even further globally, Spanish conquistadors were sent abroad to discover lands, riches, and North America and its civilizations. When the Spanish and Native American groups met one another, they judged each other, as they were both unfamiliar with the people that stood before them. The Native American and Spanish views and opinions of one another are more similar than different because when meeting and getting to know each other, neither the Spaniards nor the Native Americans saw the other group of people as human. Both groups of people thought of one another as barbaric monsters and were confused and amazed by each other’s cultures.
One of the biggest differences is the language; Americans speak English. The United States also have many other cultures mixed, since people migrate into the Unites States all the time. On the other hand, Guatemala does not have a mix culture, they speak Spanish, along with other dialects that are found in different parts of Guatemala. Some dialects that Guatemalans speak are: Achi, Akateko, Awakateko, Xinca, and many more. The United States also has many other cultures mixed in with theirs, since many people migrate into the Unites States all the time.
It is true that Mexicans and Spaniards share similarities concerning language and culture, but there are far too many regional variations that make linguists say that Mexican Spanish qualifies to be a separate language, nonetheless, what does differ is that Spain’s political system is a Democratic government with an ‘international’ currency. Additionally, one can find a lot of Spanish influence in Mexican culture such as bull fights, foods like Spanish rice, and yes, Catholic Religion. Yet, it is easy to see the ancestral differences between Mexican and Spanish people due to their many different historical characteristics. Today, one difference between the two is that the Mexican political system is a close copy of the US system—at least on paper. However, the Mexican constitution provides only for a Federal system, unlike in Spain who recently has a revolution less than fifty years ago.
North America carries aspects of Asia, Africa and even Colombia while maintaining its own unique culture. The Southern areas of North America are more heavily oriented around religion,
Culture refers to the common beliefs and behavior patterns of a group of people. In an organizational setup, it refers to the common values that the stakeholders of the organization share, and impact their decision-making process. According to Cristina De Rossi, “Culture encompasses religion, food, what we wear, how we wear it, our language, marriage, music, what we believe is right or wrong, how we sit at the table, how we greet visitors, how we behave with loved ones, and a million other things” (De Ross, 2015). Western culture refers to the cultures that are heavily influenced by European cultures, and has its roots from the Greco-Roman cultures as well as Christianity and spread through immigration to other parts of the world. Eastern culture is the culture of the Eastern Asian countries including China, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, and India (Zimmermann, 2017).
