I feel that there are issues within the government. Especially when the topic involves political parties and election years. I always wondered what would happen if a third party was prominent in an election. Overall I see the author's claims as logical and reasonable. He provides much needed information explaining why voting for a third party in the election can create new and original ideas. The competition (in theory) can cause voters to refrain from voting for traditional democratic and republican candidates that do not seem to work. The United States is not making any money and the system seems to be putting us farther into debt. I also agree with the author when he stated that both political parties create an illusion where we have to vote for the "lesser evil". Candidates have acquaintances (the media, other important people) who help them create the illusion. I would rather not state my political status, however I feel that both parties and their candidates are creating an image of one another to make the other seem worse and less fit. I can't help agree with most everything the author states. I am very interested to see if citizens start to attempt to include a third party and if it will have an impact. Specifically speaking, if a third party candidate was campaigning in California and was able to persuade voters and received the majority of the votes, they candidate would receive a 4. They would continue to receive votes until every state was done voting. It seems possible if by chance they received the 4 in California. The number is large and gave them that advantage, and maybe it would cause other democratic states such as California to vote for the third party as
