The French revolution was a violent and suffered battle for equality, justice and fraternity. Caused mainly by absolute monarchism, social inequality, economic injustice, the enlightenment and other revolutions influence. The French revolution caused a lot of deaths and terror because of people different view of leaderence and opinion. They fought against the government and defeated the clergies (first estate) and the nobles (second estate) The absolute monarchism and/or absolutism (1789), it means a lot of power for only one person, that have authority, a king or a queen. French had these leadering of absolutism, the king at the time was Louis XVI the queen was Marie Antoinette. The absolutism was a reason why the revolution started, because they did not had the social contract, or agreement among the people and the leaders of a country, part of the modern political system, on olden days they did not practiced it. …show more content…

During the social inequality, before 1789, the nobles and the clergy had privileges at the society. The clergy were at the first estate with only 0.5%, the nobles (second) with 1.5% and everybody else (third and last) with 98%. The clergy and the nobles were the people that had more rights during the French revolution, the third estate has the one that had few rights, even though a few of them were bourgeoisie. Bourgeoisie are people that had money but were in the third estate. They did not have as much money as the nobles but still had a good amount of money. Many times the nobles did not had as much money as the third estate, but they still had more rights than
