Can you imagine feeling as patriotic about a country other than one in which you were born?
I believe that it depends on the person. For example, some people who leave in U.S still do not feel like they belong here while some instantly make connection with America and American life style. I can imagine feeling as patriotic about a country other than one in which I was born. I was born in India and grew up there until I came to U.S. After coming here, after staying here for four years, I can relate myself with Americans and I feel a connection with U.S. However, this does not mean that I forget the country where I was born and cut all ties with India. It just mean that I have equal respect and loyalty to both countries.

Why can’t the people born in United States, who speak fluent English; understand the culture; have more networks and more resources, overcome their problems. Furthermore, he says that Americans are “losing their freedom” as a result of a dependence on sex, drugs, and alcohol; class structure; and loneliness. I agree with Rais.
