What Does Communism Mean?

I am a disgrace to my parents, because I am accused of being anti-religious and offending their religious and political views. Yet, it is quite the contrary. I respect my family's theist views, and I am a devouted Muslim myself, but my political views are what identify me from my brothers- I am a communist. I have never been able to defend myself against these accusations because I was hushed not given a chance to speak up. What people do not seem to understand in this nation is that communism does not mean 'idol worship' or atheism. Many communists are atheist, yes. But there are lots of theist and beleiving communists out there, like me. There has been many Muslim-led communist revolutions in Iraq and Iran, but our parents and grandparents …show more content…

But what grinds my gears is that my relatives consider communism 'idol worship' or perhaps even atheism. Some believe atheists are demon or idol worshippers, some believe they're entirely atheist, which is completely wrong. I would like to firstly address this: If someone is an atheist, how can they 'idol worship' and vice versa? Communism does encourage atheism to some extent, but they never try to implement it like other philosophies and political theories. They say science and religion do not go together, but they are okay with politics and religion fusing to one another. I believe God created the world and everything in it, but how we came to being is debatable. I say evolution took place to replace Neanderthals (and many other elder species of humans) with us Homo Sapiens. The problem in our wretched community is that you either believe in science [then you're an infidel] or you do not [man of God]. Why can't we just assume both of them correct? Evolution obviously took place that is why we are much smarter than our predecessors, and we will continue evolving till we reach perfection. In our backwards society, we assume men were turned into chimps, rather than chimps evolving into humans. Honestly, I would say people are so frightened by religion that they don't dare even look up basic science. In short, as I have previously stated, politics and religion do not fuse together, but science and religion do. We must adapt science as evidence for the existence of a supernatural being (i.e God) and use science and religion together to make our religion seem more valid and
