The Great Gatsby Green Light
The Great Gatsby has many important Symbols and life lessons. Some of these are stronger and meaningful and others are just something to think about. This book can give people visions and inspire them to do something bigger and better in life. Things like the Green light in Gatsby; it has many meanings and has a strong lesson behind it.
In the story Jay Gatsby’s Green Light was a dream. It wasn’t just any dream, in fact he envied his dream so much he tried to make it a reality. Gatsby wanted to be with the love of his life, which is Daisy Buchanan. Gatsby was poor and didn’t have anything and he knew he couldn’t have daisy with the type of lifestyle he had, so he became rich for the love of his life. The green light was like a goal for Gatsby, he wanted to reach the green light badly, so he can have everything he wanted. His background affected his goals because he lied about so much, nobody knew what to believe. He was slowly losing daisy and he knew it. I want to achieve these goals because I know I could be something of importance in life and it would better me as a person. My life goals have changed over time because before I wanted these things I didn’t really care to do them, I wasn’t inspired enough to chase the goals. My family has helped me in the process of trying to reach my goals by pushing me to work harder and investing in my well-being.
