The Magical Mansion In The Great Gatsby By F. Scott Fitzgerald what first caught my attention was the first party scene , because of how in my imagination, I could dive into the book and feel like I was present in the moment. Fitzgeralds use of language really allows the reader to get more in depth than other novels. He built an atmospher of excitement and comfort at the same time. The Great Gatsby is great because of Fitzgerald’s style when he describes in immense detail Gatsby’s majestic character that he displays through his Mansion. The library is another source of the imagery Fitzgerald presents when using the detail of the panneled English oak walls. Nick’s description shows that he is embraced in this magical sense because apon finding the library he already mentions the important looking door before it. Gatsby’s love for his aestethic is showed throughout the novel and it may have been influenced from his unreal life, “I lived like a young rajah in all the capitals of Europe---Paris, Venice , Rome---”(65).
