What Happened At Tasha's Trial?

What happened: Well in this event there were two main parts, the first part being the Tasha’s father’s lawyer suggesting Tasha to go to court for her father 's bail hearing. So basically what happened Tasha went to go see Tasha’s father 's lawyer and he suggested to Tasha that she go to court but she was confused because it was going to be a school day. Then the lawyer explained that if Tasha went to court it would show the judge that Leonard’s family cared about him and believed in him enough to go to court and support him and possibly let him out on bail. The lawyer also suggested Tasha to cry about for hope the judge would have sympathy for her. Tasha agreed to everything, she would do anything to get her father free. THe court began and after a long bail hearing the judge thought that letting Leonard out to spend time with his family would be good, but the judge deemed Leonard to be too dangerous and set him for no bail and to stay put in his cell till his trial …show more content…

Where did the event happen: The event happened in two different places the first place being in Tasha’s father’s lawyer office, that is where him and Tasha had their meeting about Tasha’s going to the trial and what for her to do at the trial. The other place the event took place was at a courthouse in the city of Toronto (where the book takes place) to have the bail hearing for Leonard Scanlan.
Why did the event happen: Well the reason there was a bail trial was to decide if Tasha’s father should be kept in jail until the trial or if he should be able to be on parole and be able to spend time with his family. The reason Leonard’s lawyer told Tasha to go to the hearing and to cry at it was to show the judge that Tasha’s family misses him and to hope the judge showed sympathy and let Leonard on parole until the trial. The judge chose to keep Leonard in jail cause the judge deemed Leonard too dangerous to be let free and also to s=take away the chance of him fleeing
