In this assignment I will explain five events that were before, during, or after the Civil War. The civil war was mostly focused on the south and north. The five topics I decided to pick were the election of president lincoln, South Carolina Secedes, New Orleans capture, Bull Run, and Emancipation Proclamation. All of these topics explain incidents that make our world the way it is now. Looking at the certain events that happened I wonder what would be different if these events didn’t happen. In this essay I will reach my objective by giving a scenario to what would happen if these events were different. These topics gave me a great understanding on what history is really about it helped me understand certain reasons on why unquestionable events happened. By making these scenarios it gave me a better look on if these event didn’t happen I probably wouldn’t know certain people my life would be really different and who knows I probably would have never even been born. It gave me a better look on why I should think of history in a learning type of way not a boring subject that I’m forced to learn about. I really enjoy writing and giving my opinion on these topics. What I found that was really interesting were certain quotes from major people that either were very important or extremely worthy.
