What I Learned In My Writing Class

When I started this class, I didn’t know much about the subject. Writing essays was always a problem for me, especially during high school. In the beginning, of this class, it was really difficult to revise and edit my essays, because I would think my essays were perfect, and that I had no corrections to make. But during this class I learned that I was totally wrong. During this class I learned how to make corrections on comma splices, run-on sentences, fragments, and many more things. What helped me during this class were my textbook and my professor. Everything the textbook would have, our professor would teach us in class, so we could understand better. I had a lot of dislikes and likes, while doing this piece of work. One thing, I liked during this process was correcting capitalization. The reason why I liked capitalization was that I already had a lot of knowledge on how to make capitalize words; so this process was very easy. But during this class, I learned ways to improve my correction on capitalizing. One thing I disliked during this process was making corrections on comma splices, and run-on sentences. At first, I thought both comma splices and run-on sentences meant the same thing, but then I learned they were different. Comma splices are a comma used between two independent sentences. Run-on sentence is no punctuation or comma between two independent sentences. Both are related in some way, but were very confusing to me. Studying over this topic helped me a lot. I learned a lot of new things during this semester, and hopefully I learn a lot more in the
