A. Summary The students started the warm up; which contained a word problem and the students needed to figure out which person wrote the correct equation for the problem. Some students were able to get the problem, while other struggled until the teacher gave them a hint. Some students were concerned about their grades, so Ms. Velasquez had a talk with her class about grades. The notes were done a foldable that was later taped into their interactive notebooks. They lesson included highlighter to help demonstrate where the domain and range were on the graph. The student had to follow along with their sheet of paper because there was miss information that they had to fill in as they went through the lesson. I found myself being more medium control then the other two. A medium control teachers are responsible for enforcing the rules and helping students recognize the consequences or decisions of their actions. I would like to have discussion with my student and for them to know that their actions do have consequences, but also having them the liberty to make decision for themselves. Since I want to teach secondary, I think that is great time to teach them things that will reflect the outside world and I think that a medium control approach teaches them that. This semester I also learned how to word rules with right way more and how to be specific with procedures. I made a mock classroom policy about a year ago and after that lesson I made modifications to it. I got excited because it was part of our discipline 2, and I got more feedback on which I need another eye to look at for me. I took the comments and made more to policy and proud of my end product. I am proud of myself and I can see myself using it in my future
