During the interactions between Penelope and the potential husbands that she was introduced to, the mirror between her bed room and the study room became the movies primary territory. While having the one-sided mirror up between Penelope and the blue bloods, there was still an amount of intimate distance between them as if there was nothing blocking their view from each other. By having the mirror visually disconnect Penelope during her interactions with the boys, she was able to take advantage of observing their eye messages, paralanguage, and of course their appearance. Although Penelope was always the quickest to be judged when making her appearance known, she was the first initial person to make the judgements of the boys presented to her.
