Harriet Tubman a great lady. She helped all kinds of people, such as slaves, The Poor, ETC. Harriet was born in Dorchester County, MD. Unfortunately she died March 10, 1913, At the age of 30. Harriet is well known for the Underground Railroad, and many more things such as helping the slaves. Harriet’s first major achievement was her work as a conductor on the Underground Railroad.The Underground Railroad was formed in the early 19th century and reached its between 1850 and 1860. Much of what of what people know today comes from after the Civil War and about fugitive slaves using the Underground Railway. Harriet Tubman had to arrange meetings, scout routes without drawing attention to herself and think on her feet. In the spring of 1862, Tubman traveled to a Union camp in South Carolina. She was there to assist slaves who'd taken refuge with Union troops, but her Underground Railroad work made it likely she also intended to serve as a spy. Tubman ended up guiding a group of trusted scouts to map territory. Tubman 3rd Achievement was Civil War Nurse. She helped all kinds of people especially the poor, and the people that couldn't help their self like the old people. Her experience leading slaves along the Underground Railroad was very helpful because she knew the land well. She needed to know the land well so she could locate the people that were sick and help them. She was a civil war nurse from 1820/1821. It started March 10, 1820. Harriet was not getting paid for this and she didn't care. Harriet Tubman's last and final Achievement was being a Caregiver. Harriet Tubman offered her services to the Union Army, and in early 1862, she went to South Carolina to provide needed nursing and caring for black soldiers and slaves that were there. Harriet Tubman helped people for 38 years. Harriet helped escape more than 300+ Slaves, She went at night and did 8-19 trips. She risked her life to help other people and didn’t mind
