There is a good chance that neither of the quests that Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh headlined would be the same as we know them. Both individuals had to step up as leaders and show an incredible amount of courage and ingenuity throughout their journey, with everything that they fought for on the line. Their dedication to their missions led to the end results, which may not have been what each explorer wanted, but both would shape the world as we know it, and that is what binds these adventures together
Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh are explorers that have discovered new places and done things that people thought were impossible. Both of these men faced many hardships on their journeys, but their skillsets helped them to pull through the difficult times. There was a major time gap between their travels and many things differed between them and their skills, yet there were also many things that the two had in common. These things helped each of the men to achieve the goal that they were aiming to accomplish. Lindbergh and Columbus had vastly different goals in mind, other than the fact that they both wanted fame and fortune (History.com staff), but some of the challenges that they faced were similar.
Columbus and Lindbergh both have been on amazing and intriguing adventures. Both of these men have faced many challenges during these adventures. Columbus incorporated his sailing skills from previous years of sailing into his adventure to find a route to Asia by sea. Lindbergh used his flying skills he previously learned in life in order to go on his adventure.

Of course, you can’t find something nonexistent, but in the midst of his futile journeys, he made several discoveries that turned out to greatly influence the course of history over the next four centuries.

Even though there was an enormous difference in time these men were determined and got the job done. Christopher Columbus was one of the greatest explorers known to man. Columbus had many different reasons for his explorations. Later, the main reason for his explorations was selfishness. Just like many other explorers before Columbus, he wanted land, he wanted power, and he also wanted gold. The reason for his very first voyage to what he thought was India, but later was found out to be Central America, was to get land for Spain.

If you didn’t know, Columbus went on a voyage to the East Indies but ended up finding something better, North America. In producing this essay, I will explain to u the similarities and differences of each men, what each men hoped to achieve, their hard challenges, skills, & the effect of the 400 year difference between the two. Columbus & Lindbergh had many similarities that were very well known throughout history. One of the biggest similarities of the two was their voyage across the atlantic and what they accomplished across it.

Zheng He was a Hui-Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who commanded voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa. Each men and their fleets had two completely different reason for their travel. Christopher Columbus purpose was to find a new trade way to the Asian countries. Zheng He's purpose was to enlarge empires control of seaway trade.

Christopher Columbus had a ridiculous idea to venture off into a ocean that had never been sailed before. He hoped to find a new passage to Asia unknown to mankind. In 1492 his idea became a reality and he was able to sail the ocean with the financial help of Queen Isabella from Spain. Columbus’s trip created the Columbian exchange that brought new ideas, foods, and animals within both continents. As well, the newfoundland was able to expand and advance from all the finances given from Spain.
Europe 's government greatly demanded spices and gold from Asia, so they tried to find a water route to Asia. Columbus sailed towards what he thought was Asia, but instead found America. During the voyage, there was a risk of no winds, unknown weather, and shortages of supplies. When Columbus saw land, he anchored all of the ships and headed for land. Columbus named the new island San Salvador, and started exploring the fairly tropical area.
In 1476, Columbus had his first creative voyage, along the rocky coast of Portugal. Columbus had always been a resourceful child, going back to his early years as the son of a wool merchant in Genoa, Italy. Laboring alongside his father, Columbus learned how to work in an innovative way that would appease his father’s clients. Later, obtaining his first work as a ship’s merchant, he learned how to be convincing and appealing to the hard-hearted sailors on the ship. Being exposed to the life of a sailor, Columbus learned how to adapt to the mysteries of sea life, and how to read maps, navigate, and make use of what the wind and sea brought his way.
My Father took of his shoes and socks and ran bare foot. Buck figured out how to steal food and blame it on another dog and he figured out if he didn’t get what he want the owners wouldn’t do anything until Buck got what he wanted. My Father and Buck both learned things in their travels even if they weren't long they lead to my next thing. My Father learned to problem solve and he uses that attribute to this day. Buck learned The Rule of the club and the Rule of the fang.
During the Renaissance, they were many attempts made by the Europeans to discover the new world. For instance, Vasco de Gama was a Portuguese traveler during this time period. Over the course of his lengthy expedition, he successfully discovered a new passage to India. Moving on, the famous Italian explorer Christopher Columbus came upon the Bahamas and Cuba and claimed them for Spain. Later on in 1524, Giovanni de Verrazano was sent by the French to locate a new route from North America to India.
