There are several differences between a policy, a standard, and a guideline. Policies are typically a statement produced by senior management relating to the protection of information. It outlines security roles and responsibilities. It also describes the controls that are set in place to protect pertinent information. Each policy should make some form of reference to the standards and guidelines that support it.
All policies were utilized to keep the US as the dominant power over the Americas. It allowed them to build good relationships or influence most of Latin America. The moral diplomacy and big stick diplomacy were both policies that included fighting off threats to the US. The big stick and good neighbor policy were both policies that were enforced keeping peace within the Americas when possible. Big Stick Policy was created by President Theodore Roosevelt, Dollar Diplomacy was created by President William Howard Taft and his Secretary of State Philander C. Knox, Moral Diplomacy was created by President Woodrow Wilson and Good Neighbor Policy was created by President Franklin Roosevelt.

What is morality? The Oxford Dictionary defines it as “a particular system of values and principles of conduct, especially one held by a specified person or society.” In the book A Separate Peace by John Knowles, the two main characters, Gene and Finny have very different moral attitudes. Gene’s morals are realistic and applicable to the real world while Finny’s are honorable, righteous, and ideal, but lack a sense of reality and as a result, he is unable to accept the truth about human nature, and ends up with serious consequences. Although Finny is extremely righteous and honorable, his ethics lack a sense of reality and as a result, he ends up with serious consequences.
Morality can be shown through texts and stories in a number of ways. One story in particular that showed morality as a theme at different points throughout the story was the Ravine by Graham Salisbury. The key instances in the story that show morality as a theme were when Vinny, the main character, wasn't sure if he did the right thing going to the ravine, or if he should've listened to his mother, and stayed home. The second time morality was expressed as a theme was when Vinny also didn't feel comfortable being at the ravine since another teenager about his aged passed away in an accident at the ravine, he was afraid that what happened to the boy might happen to him and his friends. I have chosen Into Thin Air for my project because the main theme of this novel is Danger and Morality. I feel as there’s danger and morality in my city and around the world, with the natural events occurring. Into Thin Air is a great work of literature because of Krakauer’s use of imagery and symbolism to describe the situation of the mountain. Also, the plot is exciting, and it leaves the reader in shock on each page. The writer tells it as it is.

Abortion is an ongoing ethical issue that attracts many different views from various races, religions and ethical groups. Deontological or teleological views are two major categories that many major religious views can be sorted into. An ethical issue is a problem or situation that requires a person or organization to choose between alternatives that must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong (unethical). Deontological points of view, such as Kant, are ones that involve always telling the truth and that all morals are related universally. For example this means that you can’t lie, even if someone close to you is in danger.
