The 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott was a success in bringing equality among the racial segregation within buses and bus stations. One day in 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested for not moving when she was told to, which led to the call of boycotting against buses. Afterwards, African Americans gathered together and made a stance in refusing to ride buses as a protest against the unfair treatments they have endured on the buses (Document 2). Despite breaking black discriminating laws, they followed a nonviolent approach during their protest, which developed a progress toward equality. In addition, many blacks decided to avoid buses overall by finding different methods of transportation after the police started harassing the black taxi drivers.
Also, the author uses cruelty to represent Rosa on page 39 Rosa is talking to Matt and threatening him. “I could kill you ,” Rosa said quietly. “I could bury your body under the floor-and I could do it.” She let him slump to the floor again. This is another example of how Rosa poorly treats matt because of how she threatens to kill or hurt him.
Rosa Parks December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks boarded the Montgomery Bus. At the time, African-American people were assigned to sit at the back of the bus. White people got the privilege of sitting in the front. If the bus was full at the front, the bus driver would ask an African-American at the back of the bus to give up their seat. As Rosa Parks sat in one of the front rows at the back of the bus.

This was seen as one of her most important historical quotes which depicts her views about women’s rights, no matter the color of a person’s skin. Many people might ask why was Sojourner Truth a famous historical figure? She lived through so much and one of the main things people might know about her is that she tried to advocate for women's rights, no matter what race they were she believed all women should have rights.
Having courage opens a window of infinite possibilities. Courage is maybe doing something that others will not do, or pursuing dreams no matter what obstacles stand in the way. Atticus is courageous for defending his client during the Jim Crow South.
When Rosa Parks got an arrest, it had started a resolution. When Rosa didn't get up from her seat for a white man, the driver called the police and arrested her.
