In Macbeth, the play by William Shakespeare, there were many themes that could be relatable to my life, such as appearance versus reality. In Act 1, Macbeth used this theme while trying to be a happy, caring host to face, while in his mind he knew that he would go through with the murder of Duncan, the king, hosted by himself and Lady Macbeth.
In my life I constantly see people using this technique as a defensive mechanism. I can also personally relate because I find myself doing the same thing.
