David Brooks wrote in “The Moral Bucket List” that a person can be defined by two types of virtues, resume virtues and eulogy virtues (Brooks). He says that for most of our life we learn to strive for and achieve resume virtues that will help us in life. Things like skills or abilities that would help distinguish us. But Brooks claims that the other type of virtue is much more important. Those are the Eulogy virtues. Eulogy virtues are the virtues that people will remember you by when you are gone.

Kaladin spent much of his childhood training under his father to be a surgeon. Kaladin and his brother Tien were often ostracized from other kids as their father was the local doctor and while that was helpful many people were superstitious and fearful. After the previous Brightlord of the town died the new one specifically had it out for their family due to a rough introduction and suspected theft on Kaladin’s Fathers behalf. After having to live through much torment from the main authority of the town as well as the towns people Kaladin’s brother Tien gets conscripted into the military and he follows him by volunteering in an attempt to help his …show more content…

It was his true ideals of protecting and his sense of duty allowed him to be noticed. As a Windrunner he only grew more dedicated to his call.
Kaladin was a great soldier and an amazing person. His dedication to the Windrunners and Knights Radiants will be remembered for many centuries to come. What he accomplished was tremendous and the impact he left everyone will be felt forever. Bridge four will live on as Kaladin’s memory and will signify the new generation of Windrunners following in the footsteps of Kaladin.
Kaladin was a true friend to so many people and saved so many lives. His dedication to the ideal of protection is what allowed him to be so great and help so many people. Be it to members of Bridge four, his family, or even the king and his family. Kaladin was always trying to help and save people. This is what made him such a great Radiant and why he will be remembered for all the great things he’s done and what he stood
