Osama bin Laden, leader of the terrorist group Al Queda, was killed on May 2, 2011. After being the target of a decade long international hunt, Bin Laden had been tracked to a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. (History para.1)United States Navy Seals invaded the compound and shots were fired, killing Osama bin Laden. He was then flown to a disclosed area in the Arabian Sea and buried.(CNN para.4) The killing of Osama bin Laden was justifiable due to the fact that he was the mastermind behind many attacks, including September 11, and has killed countless innocent civilians in different countries. Osama bin Laden and Al Queda performed 62 attacks between 1962 and 2005. The first attack was on December 29, 1962 and while only two tourists were killed, it was the beginning of a lifetime of terror. Their last attack was on August 19, 2005, when two rockets were fired into an Israeli port killing one man. Over the course of the attacks, approximately 10,000 innocent men, women, and children were killed.
