David’s belief about immigration is that everyone has the opportunity to live the American dream. He believes that when an immigrant comes to America, they should stop following their old country’s traditions and only follow American traditions. Vera believes that once immigrants cross into America, they are labeled as American and not as what they were in their original country. Vera believes that an immigrant should assimilate into society and follow and enjoy all of America’s traditions. Frau believes that immigrants should act in America just as they in their original country, she believes in no assimilation at all.
