Francisco Pizarro Francisco Pizarro was one of the many explorers during the Renaissance. He was born on March 16, 1475, in Trujillo, Spain, and died on June 26, 1541, in Lima, Peru. He was the son of Captain Gonzalo Pizarro and Francisca González. He married Quispe Sisa and had one daughter and three sons. The sons were named Gonzalo Pizarro Yupanqui, Francisco Pizarro Yupanqui, and Juan Pizarro Yupanqui, while the daughter was named. Fransica Pizarro Yupanqui. Francisco was known for exploring Panama, Columbia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru, as well as conquering the Inca Empire and founding the city of Lima. Francisco had many accomplishments during his life. Francisco founded Lima as the capital of Spanish Peru. Unfortunately for Francisco, the Inca were not fighting. The Inca army had attacked Spanish conquistadors, a conqueror, in Cusco. Luckily, Francisco was able to defeat their attack. In 1538 a battle, the Battle of Las Salinas, had occurred outside of Cusco between the rival factions of Spanish conquistadors. Francisco was not able to survive the battle. He was stabbed to death by a rival faction of Spanish conquistadors. In the end, Francisco Pizarro was an accomplished explorer and had experienced many things. He ended up discovering the Pacific Ocean, Panama, Columbia, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru, along with conquering the Inca civilization. Many people who have a sense of adventure have been inspired by him because he has been inspired and curious about the world since he heard stories of magical places. Francisco showed people that you can make your dreams come true or make your wants happen with hard work and determination. Thus, Francisco Pizarro was an interesting, influential, and achieving explorer during the
