During Henry Ford’s early life, he first discovered his interest in machines,and broke away from his family to follow his dreams. Henry Ford grew up on a farm in Greenfield, Michigan with his four siblings, mother, and father. Henry worked hard on the farm and developed on independent personality that would stay with him for the rest of his life. A example of this this is when he developed the Ford motor company, practically on his own. During his time on the farm, he developed a great interest in machines. When he was 15, he taught himself disassemble and reassemble a pocket watch his father gave him for his birthday. He was able to fix other people's watches as well, and gained respect equal to a watch repairman through this process.
