“FIRE, FIRE, DAMN YOU, FIRE! I DARE YOU!” yelled the colonists on the street as they threw snowballs, rocks, shells and clubs at the British soldiers. He explained that the colonists had been dangering the lives of the guards on duty. Was the Boston Massacre an accident, people say it was, people say it wasn't. Till what I´ve heard the Boston Massacre is not an accident because according to the articles many witnesses were there to experience it such as Benjamin Burdick he had a testimony of the Boston massacre that he said in court. Another guy that was there to witness the horrible traject was Nutent Prince both of them saw what happened. Nutent Prince supports either side because it says in source D that he saw snow balls, clubs, buckets, that the colonist had to defend themselves. Although many historians believe that the Boston Massacre was an act of murder, it is clear that the incident was self-defense. First, On March 5, 1771, a group of colonists gathered and started taunting a soldier in front of the Custom House. Quickly more colonists gathered around the soldier. Different sources say that there were anywhere from 70-200 men that were there that night. The American Revolution was a time period where there were 13 colonies in America exploring more of the land everyday, The british shared the land with people who are called the pilgrims and ended up soon turning into Patriots and after that Americans. Great Britain started abusing their colonists while there were shootings and many taxes of colonists, many were unfair, and this led to the revolution. This war was between The Patriot/Americans against the British/Loyalists. The revolution happened because a few major events in history took place in Boston others will say it as British Territory.

In reality, the killing of five people was not a massacre. However, by calling this event the Boston Massacre, the colonists were able to portray the British in a negative light. Was the Boston Massacre Really a Massacre? The Boston Massacre should not have been categorized as a massacre on the grounds that the British were acting solely in self-defense, propaganda was utilized to mislead the colonists of the facts, and the term massacre inaccurately describes the event. Although the British soldiers fired on the colonists, the Boston Massacre was simply the result of the colonists relentlessly provoking the British, making the soldiers’ actions self-defense and therefore, not a massacre. What started out as mild verbal attacks from the colonists, soon turned into full-scale physical assault.
The Boston Massacre is an event most Americans and British students learn about over the course of their education. In America, we learn that British soldiers fired upon innocent civilians, although this may not have been the case. British historians have referred to the Boston Massacre as the "Incident on King Street". After looking over the "Captain Thomas Preston 's Account of the Boston Massacre", as well as "Boston Massacre Trial Depositions" I believe that American historians should refer to the "Boston Massacre" as the "Incident on King Street". The definition of a massacre refers to an unnecessary and random killing of a large number of individuals.

There were many disagreements and because of those, many events were the cause of the American Revolution. These events included bloodshed by others, peoples rights weren’t enforced, individuals didn’t receive freedom, and our country was just not yet whole. Despite of the causes of why the road to Revolution took place there were effects afterwards. When American Revolution was over with the The Declaration of Independence came into place, treaties were signed, and the Bill of Rights. Now these effects/events were amazing, it helped our country tremendously.
