In the article, “Where Have the Good Men Gone?” by Kay S. Hymowitz which was published on February 19, 2011. It summarizes about how men are not mature enough, they are held back on their process of maturing, and that they are stuck in a pre-adulthood phase. It says that men in their twenties are becoming more disconnected with the real world. They have begun to focus more on college rather than their future lives. It also reveals that men are spending too much time doing nonadult things that seem too childish for their age. She says that women are more intelligent and possess much more qualities than men. If men do these certain qualities then are considered childish and immature adults that is something that can’t be good for adulthood like “Star Wars’ like it’s not a movie made for people half their age; a guy’s idea of a perfect night is to hang around the PlayStation with his bandmates, or a trip Vegas with his college friends….”(Hymowitz,491). She has these certain viewpoints of what men are considered to be immature if they do things like watch Star Wars. Also she already has all these ideas of what an immature man is like and a man that is ready for adulthood. Hymowitz states that women have a greater chance of getting a bachelor degree than men do because “34 percent of women now have a bachelor degree but just 27 percent of men.”(Hymowitz,492). Hymowitz also says that women have more confidence and drive to do stuff better. Hymowitz also mentions that women are becoming more successful in getting their education than men.
