Per Reporter: On 5-27-18, Dalton was arrested by the Itawamba Police Department for stealing his foster father’s (Fred) pistol. Dalton was transported to the Lee County Detention Center. Dalton is scheduled for court on today or tomorrow. Dalton was charged with a stolen gun. Dalton was placed with Fred and his wife (Natalie) through Itawamba CPS on 4/25/2018. Dalton has a Social Worker (Regina) with Itawamba CPS. Dalton came to the home with truancy issues at school and depressed because he was removed from his parents' (unknown mother and Cassey) home. Dalton's great-grandfather (unknown) died two days after his sixteen birthday. Dalton was thinking about suicide. Dalton has access to Fred's AR-15. In Fred's man cave, there is another loaded pistol. Dalton had taken the loaded handgun from the man cave and stuff the gun in his stuff in his room. Dalton told Regina when asked why he had taken the pistol. Dalton stated that: "He intention was to hurt himself." It is unknown if Dalton had a plan. It is unknown if Dalton was going to use the pistol to cause harm to himself. Dalton disclosed to the reporter that: "He has not seen Regina since he was placed in Fred and Natalie's home." He has not received mental health services or any other types of counseling." Fred and Natalie once left Dalton in charge to watch Harrison. Harrison is Natalie's biological son and Fred's step-son. Dalton and Harrison's friend (unknown) came over to the home. Dalton stated that: "He was not drinking. Harrison and their friend were drinking." Dalton and Harrison have access to Fred and Natalie's wine, beer, and liquor that they are kept in an unlocked refrigerator in the garage.
