On June 18th 2016 Deputy Akins was requested by dispatch to make phone contact with Antonio Johnson regarding Nia Sockwell who had fallen on Tuesday and hit her head on a towel rack. Upon making phone contact with Antonio Johnson, Mr. Johnson explained that his cousin Nia Sockwell, had fallen and hit her head on the towel rack while at her boyfriend’s home Tuesday, June 14th, 2016. Mr. Johnson said the cousin’s boyfriend is “Al” who lives at 1304 Valentine Rd Jacksonville Arkansas. Mr. Johnson could not provide any other information on “Al”. Mr. Johnson said he felt the condition of his cousin was suspicious but had no proof of anything criminal. Mr. Johnson said he knew nothing about this incident first hand until he was requested to come to the hospital Friday June 17th, 2016. Johnson said “Al” told him that on Thursday June 16th Ms. Sockwell was complaining of pain and fell off the bed they were laying on, but he was able to scoop her up and get her back on the bed. Mr. Johnson said on Friday, June 17th 2016 he was notified by Alissa Sockwell the daughter of Nia Sockwell that she had fallen out of the bed again. He said that Alissa Sockwell told him that “Al” had called her and told her that Nia Sockwell had fallen and was facing the door but he could not get her back in the bed. He said that is when Nia Sockwell was transported by MEMs to St Vincent University. Deputy Akins spoke with Alissa Sockwell by phone and was told the same story; however she added that Nia Sockwell had a swollen arm. Alissa Sockwell stated that she had been over at the house to assist Nia Sockwell on Thursday June 16th 2016; she said that Nia was complaining the pain medication was not working, so she took her to St Vincent Sherwood where they prescribed some different pain medications.
