Ashleigh is a teenager who’s life is about to come crumbling down, because of one life changing decision. Ashleigh's parents are divorced, and she sees her dad very seldom, but when she was with him one day, he mentioned that he needed money to pay back two guys he was in debt with. He asked Ashleigh to take her mom’s $200 her mom keeps in a pretty teapot. Ashleigh stole the money for her dad because she feels bad that her dad is in debt with two guys and can't pay them back because he’s poor, Her dad is sucking up to Ashleigh by giving her compliments and being kind , which he never did before, and because her dad is making Ashleigh believe that stealing her mom’s money is okay.
Ashleigh feels bad about her dad owing $200 to two guys, and pay them back because he’s poor. Ashleigh offered,herself, to help dad. Ashleigh wanted to help and wanted her dad to know that she can be responsible. Also, Ashleigh’s father acted all sad about how he can work it out himself with no help, but mentioned that it will difficult to do so. He had scammed Ashliegh to do what he wanted by being sympathetic and feeling sorry for himself. With this intention, her dad is trying to tell her that there are ways around stealing the money without getting into trouble from her mom. “Ashes, i will have the money in your hands by Friday at the latest”. In detail, Ashleigh’s dad keeps trying to name all the positive outcomes of stealing the money. Additionally, Ashleigh’s dad stated “ Which is why she’ll never find out.
