The first reason I believe Lizzie is guilty of the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden is because she lied about her stepmom Abby Borden receiving a note from a friend being sick on the day she and her husband were murdered. “The Crime” stated, “Andrew asked Lizzie where Abby was, and Lizzie told him Abby had received a note that someone was ill and that she had left the house.”
I believe that Lizzie Borden did kill Both Abby and Andrew Borden on the day of August 4, 1892. Some people think that Lizzie is guilty some think she is innocent. My reasons for believing this are she wanted more attention from her father. My second reason is when she testified about what happened and her whereabouts it didn't add up. My third and final reason to believe that Lizzie is guilty is she had reasons to think that her father was going to get hurt shortly before her father got killed.

Lizzie had possible motives that could’ve led to the killings. For instance, many have concluded Lizzie’s father could’ve been a possible rapist towards Lizzie. No evidence or proof was ever found to prove this statement. No one actually knows if Andrew Borden was a rapist or not, they based this statement on the room and door style. Next, Lizzie could’ve been angered at the actions of her dad.
Some of the time Lizzie and her sister Emma would not eat with the elder Borden. Lizzie did not eat with them the day so they expert said maybe Lizzie felt she did have to because she was going to kill them (Berni, C. (1997). After, the murder had taken place Lizzie had burnt a dress and then claimed it had red paint on it. Lizzie was know to shoplift from local stores.
