This is the case of Andrew and Abby Borden. Lizzie was a suspect for a while; she was even arrested for the murders as a suspect and put into jail for a year but somehow was found not guilty. The first reason I believe Lizzie is guilty of the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden is because she lied about her stepmom Abby Borden receiving a note from a friend being sick on the day she and her husband were murdered. “The Crime” stated, “Andrew asked Lizzie where Abby was, and Lizzie told him Abby had received a note that someone was ill and that she had left the house.” …show more content…

The note was a lie. Why would she lie about the note, on that day? The second reason I believe Lizzie Borden murdered Andrew and Abby Borden is because she suspiciously burned her dress just days after the murders. The podcast “Crime Junkies" states, “Lizzie was seen burning a dress in the following days of her parent's murders, admitting that it was stained with paint." Why would Lizzie wait to burn the dress on these days when she could have done it any other time? It’s very suspicious of me. The dress could have been stained with paint; however, Lizzie could have just thrown it away or even cleaned the dress. It is bizarre to me that Lizzie waits to burn the dress just days after the murders. The third and final reason I think Lizzie murdered the Bordens was because she was heard upstairs by the Borden family's maid, where Abby was murdered, giggling when her father arrived home and could not get in.
