The American Revolutionary war was a huge event for not only America, but the world. There were heroes and there were people who were against certain things. One person who was considered as a hero of this time was female Sybil Ludington. According to National Women's History Museum website, “Sybil Ludington is the female counterpart to the more famous Paul Revere.” According to notes, “Sybil Ludington is considered a hero because of her action of warning Putnam and Dutchess counties to warn the militia that British troops were burning Danbury, Connecticut”. She saved people who were not ready for this British Troop invasion. From the kids discover official site, “Sybil Ludington was 16 years old when she rode 40 miles on horseback one night in April 1777.” Sybil Ludington was a young hero.

From the American National Biography Online website, “Sybil Ludington married Edmond Ogden apparently in 1784, and they had one child, Henry Ogden. On that same website it states “Her husband's revolutionary service had included membership in the Connecticut Continentals and naval duty under John Paul Jones aboard the Bonhomme Richard.” Basically stating that Sybil’s husband served in the revolution. Soon however, Henry Ogden passed away in 1799 according to the American National Biography Online website.
