Over the summer I was assigned to read “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley. I noticed as I was reading the novel that Victor Frankenstein's’ ambition to create a monster and study nature of the world came with a lot of risk and benefits, such as when he created the monster, and when he has to decide if he will carry out the monsters request. Throughout the novel I felt like there was more risk victor took than more benefits he received.
Driven by his ambition to create life Victor Frankenstein took a huge risk when he decided to create the monster. Victor risked everyone in Geneva's life when he created this so called life (the monster) because he didn't have an idea of how it would turn out. he never thought it would turn out the way it did and

Victor thought that his creation would be beautiful but that's not quite how it turned out. All in all the monster turned out to be “hideous” and a
“killer”nothing that Victor expected it to be.Victor wanted nothing to do with the monster because of his hideous exterior, As a result, he started losing close family members and loved ones because the monster killed them out of spite of wanting to get “ revenge” on Victor for the way he was treated.
Another risk Victor took was when he had to decide if he should carry out his creations request to create a female monster. Victor was forced between two options which was to make another monster to meet the needs of his first creation and have the entire worlds lives put at stake or to not create a female companion for his creation and have a huge chance of his family being killed. Either way he was risking innocent lives no matter which option he chooses. The pros of creating a female monster was that the monster states that “neither you nor any other human being shall never see us again…...I will go to the vast wilds of South America”. Victor wanted to cut off all ties with the monster so this seems like a perfect plan to him but then what if the
