The Jaws theme song is one of the most recognizable theme songs of the late 1900’s and early 2000’s. Bruce the shark in Jaws, is a terrifying shark that seems to have taste for human flesh. First written as a book and then adapted into a movie by Steven Spielberg. This shark terrifies the small town of Amity Island during the 1970’s but is it possible that he is misunderstood, and the humans were the real monster? After the release of jaws sharks were misrepresented and humans became the real monsters.

It is a misunderstood animal trying to live its life and humans keep aggravating him. They send out a boat to his territory and try to kill him. He tries to defend himself but ends up just getting blown up. Monsters like witches, zombies, and vampires are just blood seeking violent creatures who just seek evil.
Other animal monsters like Cujo are sick and have a reason for being Evil. Cujo was once a friendly dog but then he got rabies. This is a reason for being evil. The writers couldn’t just make a dog evil. They had to give it a reason to want to kill people. In Jaws that isn’t the case. The writers saw a natural apex predator living in an environment that humans don’t thrive in and they took action. Many people are terrified of sharks and making a shark evil and blood thirsty only fueled the flame.
Another animal monster would be the yeti or bigfoot. Many people claim to see them rampaging through the woods but no one can prove that they are real. Funny how all pictures are extremely blurry. Statistically speaking at least, one should be of ok quality. Sharks though are real and tangible. People swim with sharks, take pictures of them and even eat shark fin soup. Sharks are not some made up monster to try and keep people from wandering in the woods. They are real and this could make people even more scared of them. Fearing a story is one thing but fearing a living tangible creature is true
