Frankenstein, a novel written by Mary Shelly, tells a story of a scientist named Victor Frankenstein who uses science or scientific experiments to create human life but utterly makes something worse. Using the knowledge of science his experiment was completely successful but in a twist Victor ended up creating a hideous monster that has a mind of its own. Scared of his creation Victor flees and tries to run away from the monster, avoiding it at all costs. Throughout the book, Victor's family gets killed one by one but is revealed that the monsters Victor created murdered his family. As shown in the book Victor's obsession leads him to gather body parts, using science and his quest for knowledge to help create a creature of his design, therefore Victor's desire to act as God by creating new life. With creating a new life with an unknown creature there are severe consequences against the creator, Victor, and against the creature. Victor's desire to act as God has ruined his life not only for his quest for knowledge but because of the creation he so desires to create. The monster destroys many innocent lives, the creature goes on a rampage killing many people. Some of the murderers that the monster killed were Victor’s family like William, Justine, and Henry. The monster also creates mental and physical problems for his creator, Victor. During the creation of the creature, Victor worked nonstop to create his creation, therefore, hurting his health physically and mentally, causing anxiety, insomnia, and mental exhaustion. Next just like his creator Victor, the monster goes into isolation as well. The monster is so ugly and seen by society as a gross and horrifying thing the creature goes into hiding. From this one capable way to find companionship or acceptance from human civilization this led to the monsters killing rampage of innocent people. Finally, after everything that has happened in the book, the monster is forced to stay with Victor because Victor‘s obsession to play as God has left him with a curse, his creation to stay with him forever. As an author Beverly Kelley states “There is considerable opposition to such quantum leaps in genetic engineering. Some contend that "playing God" is morally wrong. Others predict biological disaster: dwindling human diversity, an expanding gap between the haves and have-nots, and Frankenstein monsters becoming a real-life possibility.” Kelly means that playing God is wrong and could lead
