The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet has a lot of questionable events, but the biggest thing we don't know the answer to is who deserves the blame for the death of the star crossed lovers and in this I am going you my top 3 culprits and why I think they are the reason why they are dead. The three suspects are Paris the one who was planned to be Juliet's second husband, Friar Laurence the one who devised the whole plan, and the apothecary the one who gave Romeo the poison in the first place. Now the first culprit is going to be Paris and after all three men are explained I will say who I think is the most responsible. He did one thing that could've saved Juliet and another that could've saved Romeo, but that wasn't all his fault. The big one is that when Juliet wakes up Friar has a chance to save her, but instead runs away in fear of getting the blame for the three deaths and than Juliet ends her life. Also it was Friar Laurence's job to tell Romeo about the plan he even says it on act 4, scene 1, lines 134 and 135 "In this resolve. I'll send a friar with speed/To Mantua, with my letters to thy lord." This is telling Juliet that he will know when to get you from the catacombs, but not all this is Laurence's fault you also have to blame Friar John because he was the one unable to send the letter to Romeo. Which then Romeo arrived to early which resulted in his death and Juliet's too. So really this is blaming both Friar Laurence and Friar John. The last suspect is the apothecary and how his actions could be the cause for the death and Romeo and Juliet. The Apothecary is last last person to blame in the death of Romeo and Juliet and he did one thing in the whole play which could give him the blame for the two death. The poison giving on act 5, scene 1, lines 82-84. He gives it to him only because his poverty consents, but his will does not so because of his lack of money he gives the poison and than maybe the cause of Romeo and Juliet's death. If he wouldn't of gave the poison he would have saved the life of Romeo and than Romeo
