The Second World War had begun in 1939. There were many reasons as to why it began. A lot of people focus on the Policy of Appeasement and the Nazi-Soviet Pact. If one were to compare and see which factor contributed the most to the trigger then to a much larger extent the Policy of Appeasement caused the World War. The Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939 can be seen as the final trigger for the World War. The reason as to why it was signed is that Hitler needed to get rid of one last threat – the USSR. This is why the policy helped cause the war more than the Nazi-Soviet
