Why Americans Should Not Serve Dinner On Sundays

Most students who come to college come from a background where on Sundays the family always set down to have dinner. Everybody could have had dinner somewhere or with someone else the previous nights before but on Sundays the family also came together to have dinner together. College students, who have grown up doing this with their families, just don’t stop doing this when they come to college. They just find a group of friends that becomes their family, away from home. Kansas State University things are a little different because the Derby Dining Center serves dinner every night except Sunday night which not only makes it harder for some college to continue their customs from growing up but also just makes it plain hard to eat on Sunday nights. Therefore the rule of dinner not being served on Sundays at the Derby should change. As an employee of the Derby I know firsthand how much food there is in the Derby and also know how easy it would be to cook that food on Sundays. Therefore to me there is no excuse why there shouldn’t be dinner served on Sundays.
Now I’m sure that saying that the Derby should serve dinner on Sundays is easier said than done because the Derby Dining Center and the Housing and Dining department have a couple hundred employees who probably enjoy having their Sunday nights off from work every week. Me being one of those employees can agree with that but if me being off on a particular day means that some students are going hungry because they don’t have extra money to spend
