In the process he develops complex mathematical equations that create a logical representation of the abstract. What makes Judson’s experiences so unique? Judson is visually impaired, and recovering from a traumatic Braine injury that left him unable to speak coherently, or to care for himself for a period of time. Judson explains that he sees the world in abstract shapes and colors, as a result of the vision and memory loss; Fractals allow him to share the beauty he sees in things and experiences others may view as mundane. Throughout his adjustment to vision loss and his rehabilitation, or self-re-creation after memory loss, Judson has seen, and experienced, the damage that ignorance and misconceptions can have on him and others. He has observed friends, who are visually impaired or blind, give up on hopes and dreams because others tell them “you’re blind, you can’t”. He has doubted his own abilities for similar reasons, and he found, in his natural talent for creating Fractal art, that he can in fact do anything he chooses
