Revolution, also called Revolution of 1789 or Bourgeoisie Revolution, it was the most violent and the most universally significant revolutions of western culture. In parts of Europe feudal systems had crumbled and had weakened a lot. Lower classes had already attained standards however wanted more rights over; land, money, taxes and political issues. The three main causes of the French revolution where issues concerning social, economic and political issues.
One of the reasons why the French revolution started was because of some social issues. In 1789 France was the most populated country of Europe, with 26 million people living there, of course there were higher demands of Food and consumer goods. Tax systems where very unbalanced and there was a significant difference from rich to poor. From 1730 and onwards, new gold mines where found in Brazil this generally led to prices rising throughout western societies. This was the beginning of an economic situation. As prices were rising in France’s neighbouring countries, the people of France struggled to keep up economically. Each year of bad harvest put French people in more depth and prices of bread rose up because of insufficient harvests. Following two years of bad harvest lower classes could hardly afford bread and France was in a lot of dept. However, it was not only, insufficient harvest that put French people in depth. French people also had to invest a lot of money into rebuilding defence forces for themselves.
