Elie Wiesel was a Nobel-Prize winning writer 1986, he spoke against the holocaust and the genocide. Elie was known for teaching and activist of his memoir Night. His experience at a young age during the World War II gave him the ability to go through a horrible transition in life all because of the fact that he was a Jew. He witnessed his family parish at the hands of Nazi’s. His dad died of starvation, and his mother and sister died of gas chambers. Wiesel survived Holocaust, and later wrote the internationally acclaimed memoir Night. At that point Elie Wiesel decided to make a difference in the world by him telling his own experience on his own book, and what happened during the holocaust that many people don’t know about it. Elie Wiesel showed the world and his writing how was the Nazis regimes against the jewish people. I believe that Elie Wiesel deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, because Elie showed the world a message of peace in his book and he worked hard for human rights and didn’t look for human race and religion. For instance, Elie said in his speech “I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented”.
