Why I read this book... I had never heard of Nerve before seeing an ad for the movie trailer on my phone. I watched the short ad and thought, Hey, that looks kinda good. So I looked up the full trailer on YouTube and watched it. I was definitely intrigued, and I found out there was a book. So I decided to buy it, but couldn't find it in the three stores I looked in. Long story short, BAM got it in after a few weeks wait. I bought it there.

Summary...
(Spoiler free, as always.) Basically, this girl named Vee has always lived in the shadow of her best friend, who is the star of every school play while Vee works backstage. There is a fairly new internet game that is quickly becoming a sensational craze. The game, you guessed it, is called NERVE. Essentially, it is truth or dare but without the truth part. However, I did find a few mistakes/typos in the book, which made me disappointed. Didn't the author or editor proofread it enough? Anyhow, the word choice was easy and overall the entire story was very easy to understand. The characters, I found, were your typical characters (popular girl, shy girl, nerdy guy, flirty guy, etc.). But they were good characters, nonetheless. Their portrayal was good. Vee's characterization was also portrayed well. I also think Vee's character is pretty relatable, which made reading the book for me all the better. The entire plot of the book is very unique. An internet game that turns deadly, who wouldn't want to read about that? The events were suspenseful, as well as realistic. The descriptions were also vivid (honestly, I pictured the ending scenes so well that I could probably draw a detailed picture of them).
