As an 8th grader right now, I encourage you to start thinking about college. College might seem far away but it isn’t. In my case, I want to go to Duke University and take Health Science to become a Nurse. The goals of my future career need to start now by taking surveys and looking deeper into the college foundation.
I feel like, I like to help people out and when I took those surveys it showed me that health science really fits me. I want to be a nurse and these surveys really showed me that I might have a chance in college to take classes in nursing. When I took the interest survey it told me that I am an enterprising person, and I understand a lot of things. A nurse practitioner helps with patient care and can provide primary and specialty health care. When you are a nurse practitioner you have to follow strict guidelines so you can avoid diseases. When you work in the hospital you can work in shifts to provide patient care time.
Also when you're a nurse practitioner you give patients medicine and treatments, operate and monitor medical equipment, set up plans for patients, perform and order diagnostic tests and look over tests, take and record patient's medical health problems, teach patients how to stay healthy, and perform physical exams. If you want to be a nurse practitioner, they require you to have more than five years of experience. The wage of being a nurse practitioner is 106,770 dollars per year.
In this part of the essay, I am going to be talking to you about the classes I want to take and the classes I have to take. I want to take sports and events, math 1, English 1, and world history. I have to take health science to become a nurse practitioner. The reason I want to take those classes is because I fill like I will really in joy them and I will learn a lot from them. In my freshman year, I want to try out for basketball and volleyball.
