Countless lives locked away in cages and forgotten about have overwhelmed our society, it has left blood stains on our history as a species and if history has taught us anything, it’s that we have a choice to change our ways of adjusting to situations. A war which was fought in means of ending such criminal acts, yet we as human beings do little to nothing to end the terrible crimes of animal deaths in shelters. A lot of people will disagree with me especially the ones who work at shelters like that, people are making money off of animals death and any humane person would know that that's wrong. Putting an animal down because they are severely sick and just putting one down because you can't take them anymore are two different things and i agree with putting an animal down if they are sick but why put a healthy pet down when they are
The canines are considered as part of the family members more than as a domestic animal nowadays in most families. The bond between the animals and humans are inseparable. However, according to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), there are approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized in every year (ASPCA, 2017). This implies that animal euthanasia is a controversial issue nowadays. There are several reasons the animals are euthanized and it depends on each case.
The harm animals undergo includes being infected with diseases they would not otherwise be susceptible to, electrocution, and having their spines crushed. This treatment that people are often unaware of is immoral, cruel, and unethical.
It’s cruel and inhumane, which is why it has to end right now. If you disagree, you have to ask yourself: “Why not? Why don’t you want to end their suffering? How can you sit there and watch such cruelty?” Making animals test subjects are wrong, no matter what’s its purpose.
Thesis Not just for our health but also for animal’s welfare, we need to be aware about what procedures animals are passing by and how they are being treated. Many of the most fatal sicknesses that affect humans can be prevented if we involve more in those harsh procedures that they suffer and try to look for new solutions to make it stop.
