Cardiovascular fitness is the ability of the heart, blood vessels, and respiratory system to supply oxygen and nutrients to the muscles during exercise. People with a high cardiovascular fitness level most likely perform a lot of aerobic exercises. Aerobic exercises are activities that involve consistently exercising for a period longer than 20 minutes, or when the body begins relying on cellular aerobic respiration to create energy. When this happens, the respiratory system and your heart begin to work harder in order to supply the body with energy to continue doing the action.
