The JC Penney Company is a united states based company and is among the leading companies in the apparel and home furnishings especially in the retail sector. The JC Penney Company is dedicated to fitting the American diversity with quality, value and unpatrolled style.JC Penney has opened up many stalls throughout the country where they offer different products with a wide range of sizes, fits, shapes, occasions, budgets among other considerations. For a very long time JC Penney has been raising in the market until the recent past when it seemed to be making the wrong decisions.it was among the largest American mid-range store. They were able to establish their target market and also able to comfortably meet the needs of their customers. However by addition of more companies within their stores, JC Penney began losing their identity in the market.intially their target market had been the low income earners which they started moving away from. They were more into the high income earners in America .it was unfortunate that the high income earners whom the JC Penney tried to impress were not interested in their products. 4. Poor leadership Leadership plays an important role in the success of any organization. The leadership of JC Penney over the past years has greatly contributed to its current situation .they should have been able to choose able leadership that is not self-centered. Situation at JC Penney Currently JC Penney has announced that later on in the year during the month of April that it will further close 7 of its retail shops that seem not to be performing well. In the year 2014 JC Penney also closed a total of 33 stores and in the year 2015 a total of 40 stores were also closed. This is an alarming late that JC Penney is closing down its stores and it seems like a trend in which eventually they might end up having closed all their stores and the brand no longer being in existent.
