The outcome of WWII was a huge win for the allied powers. It brought an end to Hitler's rise in taking over Europe and exterminating the jewish religion. Hitler’s Nazi army was well equipped and was ready to defend whatever they felt was needed. But the allied powers fought through these defences, even if Germany had more technology and weaponry. The allied powers were able to push through the German defences and capture back land for Europe. It wasn’t very easy and came with thousands of casualties. But they were able to break through the Nazi’s.
Technology was a part of the war that affected the outcome. Germany had very modern technology and well equipped. The Allied Powers weren’t as well equipped such as they only had rifles and firearms. The Germans had mounted MG42’s in bunkers set up just off side of the beach and traps and mines set up all around the beach. Hitler had many methods of war and what he can do to invade other countries, which is how he was able to successfully capture almost all of Europe. Technology would be a benefit in pursuing these methods of strategy but weren’t always necessary. This was proven in the ways of how the Allied Powers were able to break through German defences during the invasion of Omaha, Juno, Gold and Sword beach in attempt to recapture land and stopping Hitler. Generals and commanders encouraged to move forward and keep fight, even though most of the soldiers weren't even able to leave the boats without be shot on sight. Soldiers were even drowning because the equipment they were wearing were too heavy to to swim with, so without a fight they would instantly sink to the bottom of the deep water.
