Was the Holocaust a closely kept secret?
Everyone has heard the horror stories about the murdering of millions of innocent people during World War II. This horrible thing is known as the Holocaust. Although it is up to people to believe weather it happened or not. It did happen and was known by many people earlier than what you would expect. Hitler and his Nazi’s did a good job at trying to cover it up so no one would ever know about this unhuman like crime, but people knew. The Holocaust was not a closely kept secret and hundreds of thousands of people knew what was happening to the Jewish people and didn’t do anything to help them as soon as they found out what Hitler was doing.

As much as Hitler tried to keep it a secret people still knew about the murdering of millions of innocent people. There were signs even before the war from the German Labour camps six years before the war even started. Government and political leaders knew as early on in the war after German code was broken and didn’t expose what Germany was doing to the world. Not allowing refugees into allied countries, soldiers not doing all they could to help innocent people in concentration camps, and people not believing or helping were all contributing factors to the Holocaust. The whole world had resources to know what was happening and they did very little to help save Jewish people as they were a disliked race anyways. The people are almost just as much to blame as Hitler and the Nazi’s. The Holocaust was clearly not a closely kept secret as so many people knew or had the information to know what was happening right in front of them. So much more could have been to prevent this from happening and prevent so many millions of innocent people being murdered for their race and
