Things Fall Apart There has been a debate that has been ongoing for years and there still has not been a definite answer. People have argued about how a country should be able to come in and take control of another country because of their beliefs but other believe that that motive is wrong. There may be different ways to come forth and change their ways, but some people are stuck on the thought of taking over a country that may have taken a better course if they did not intertwine. In the book “Things Fall Apart”, Okonkwo is a leader to everyone in his village. Even though is a bad father, he is known as one of the greatest warriors of their time. And so after that, Okonkwo and his family was exiled for 7 years. He ended up going to his motherland and basically started over. Once the seven years were over, he came back to his fatherland to it being taken over the british, and he was not happy about it. At the end of the book Okonkwo ends up killing a missionary but cutting his head off and told everyone to get up and fight, no one wanted to fight. Okonkwo was done, he knew that he had no chance of living anymore and he ended up hanging himself. In the movie “Hotel Rwanda”, Paul is a father to three kids and has a wife. He works at a hotel in Rwanda and through that job, he knows a lot of high ranking people. About 30 minutes into the movie the conflict starts and many people are held up at the hotel, including Paul and his family. Paul is a hardworking man and unlike Okonkwo, loves and cares for his family very much. Throughout the movie, Paul does everything he can to make sure his family and everyone else is safe and survives this hell they’re all going
