Many people wonder this thought: Why is it important to be thankful? But most people can never come up with an answer. This is thought about a lot every year around this time of year because Thanksgiving, the holiday of being thankful, is approaching. As decorations and feasts arise, so does that one common Thanksgiving question: Why is it important to be thankful? It is important to be thankful because of many things. Some of the reasons it is important to be thankful are that a lot of people do not have much. Also, being thankful is physically healthy for you and being thankful helps others. Clearly, there are a lot of reasons why it is important to be thankful. First, a lot of people do not have much. The people who have a lot usually take it for granted. But some people do not have a lot. For example, 660 million people live on less than two dollars a day. Some of those people live on even less than a dollar a day. 121 million children don't have an education. One fourth of the human population lives without electricity. Also, people who have thankfulness have less depression and stress, they exercise more and they made more progress towards personal goals.
